Phnom Penh: Ms. Sao Yareth, a trainee in the “Skill and Technical Training Program” at Preah Kosomak Polytechnic Institute, specializing in Computer Graphics Design, shared her joy and surprise at being able to pursue this course despite having dropped out at a very young age.

She said “I am excited because I didn’t expect that there would be free schooling that we accept the dropouts regardless of age. I hope to use this knowledge to earn an income rather than relying on physical labor.

This trainee mentioned that those who have been out of school for many years and do not have money to continue their education should now not worry. You can enroll in the “Vocational and Technical Training Program” for free. The learning environment is comfortable, and the teachers are attentive, making it easy to understand and gain confidence quickly.

She added that learning skills should not be a concern for those who feel they lack knowledge or are low learners because the teachers have special teaching methods to help students grasp the skill from the beginning. She also advised other citizens who have had to discontinue their studies for financial reasons or have dropped out of school for years, even if they are older, to seek enrollment in vocational and technical schools throughout the capital and provinces.

According to Ms. Sao Yareth, as Cambodia is rapidly developing, people from all social statuses should not remain idle but should strive to improve themselves to keep up with the modern world. At the very least, everyone should acquire one essential skill that enables them to work anywhere.
