His Excellency Heng Sour Presides Over National Program Launch on "Implementation of Social Security System and Skills Training Program" for Kampong Chhnang Provincial Officials

(Kampong Chhnang) : On Tuesday, July 10, 2024, His Excellency Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, disseminated "The Implementation of the Social Security System for Health Care Service under the Voluntary Contribution Scheme for Dependents of NSSF Members" and the "Vocational and Technical Skills Training Program" for youth from poor and vulnerable families in Kampong Chhnang province.

In his speech, His Excellency the Minister highlighted that the launch of the national program on the social security system for health care services under the voluntary contribution scheme for dependents of NSSF members who are public officials, and technical and vocational education and training for youth from poor and vulnerable families. He emphasized that these initiatives are two of the government's six priority policies. These policies aim to ensure that citizens receive better health care services with comprehensive coverage and to provide vocational skills to citizens to create sustainable income for their livelihoods. 

His Excellency emphasized that only under the leadership of the royal government led by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Thipadei have 3 different types of social security, which include health care services, occupational risk, and pension schemes, been provided to both public officials and citizens in the private sector.

Additionally, His Excellency mentioned the benefits of Technical and vocational education and training for youth from poor and vulnerable families, who will receive free of charge in course training and a monthly stipend of 280,000 Riels. The flexible study schedule includes up to seven shifts, and the government guarantees suitable employment with fair wages after the course.

To ensure the success of both programs, His Excellency Heng Sour encouraged public officials at all levels to promote the benefits of the programs to rural citizens, making them aware of the royal government's programs. The programs aim to improve citizens' livelihoods and reduce their daily expenses, reflecting the care and attention of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
