Students in the government's 1.5 million technical skills training courses at the National Institute of Technical Education (NTTI) have praised the school for providing modern and up-to-date training equipment and attentive teaching methods, which facilitate learning and enhance the quality of education.
Miss Phal Chanthany, a graphic design trainee at the National Technical Training Institute (NTTI), expressed her satisfaction with the provision of advanced and well-functioning training equipment and expert instructors.
She continued, “All the equipment is sufficient, including monitors, computers, and mouse. We even have Wi-Fi access. Moreover, the instructors are highly skilled.”
Similarly, Mr. Thoun Visoth, an electrical student at the same institute, has the same enthusiasm. The school has numerous advanced tools that enable him to improve his skills and gain valuable hands-on experiences from the instructors. At the same time, he encourages the unemployed to enroll in this program to acquire practical skills, leading to employment opportunities and improved family livelihoods.
Moreover, Mr. Mut Bory, an Air conditioning technical student at the same institute, also confirmed that training equipment and practicing in class are not lacking, and his teacher can explain each lesson easily.
He said, “When we go to study, there is sufficient equipment, there’s no shortage of resources. Our teacher is dedicated and provides clear explanations. If we have any difficulties, they are patient in clarifying the lesson.”
Notably, the 1.5 million tuition-free vocational training program is a nationwide initiative announced by the Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister on November 14, 2023, with the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. Enrollment in this program requires students to be at least 15 years old. Moreover, poor and vulnerable citizens with equity or poverty identification cards will receive an additional monthly support of 280,000 riels (approximately $70).
